Four structured engagements for legal teams at different stages of AI adoption. Each is designed for institutional accountability, measurable outcomes, and the kind of rigour your clients expect from you.
Each model is designed to meet your organisation where it is — with clear scope, fixed pricing, and defined deliverables. No retainer traps, no scope creep, no surprises.

Who we work with.
Advanta works with legal leaders who are making consequential decisions about AI — not organisations at the awareness stage. Our engagements are intensive, and we calibrate them carefully.
If any of the following describes you or your organisation, you are likely a good fit for an initial conversation.
You lead legal operations or governance
Our clients are General Counsel, Heads of Legal Ops, Managing Partners, and senior in-house counsel. We work at leadership level — not below it.
You are making a real decision, not a research project
Our engagements are designed for organisations with genuine intent to act. If you are building a business case internally, a Diagnostic is the right starting point.
You want expertise, not a vendor recommendation
We are not affiliated with any legal technology vendor. Our advice is independent, evidence-based, and structured around your outcomes — not a platform's commercial interests.
You operate in a regulated environment
Our frameworks are designed for law firms and legal teams working under SRA, FCA, ICO, and equivalent regulatory regimes. Compliance is not an afterthought.
Outcomes
What good looks like.
We measure our success by the outcomes our clients achieve — not by the hours we log or the decks we produce.

Vendor affiliation — our advice is always independent
2–5×
ROI on legal AI programmes with proper governance design
Board-ready governance frameworks
Every engagement produces outputs that can be presented directly to your board, risk committee, or regulator without modification.
Implementation that actually happens
We design programmes that your team can execute — not advisory documents that sit in a shared drive. Adoption is a design requirement, not an afterthought.
Accountability at every stage
We define success metrics at the start of every engagement. You always know exactly what you are getting and how we will know if it worked.
Common Questions
Before you enquire.
How is this different from a technology vendor's advisory service?
We are entirely vendor-neutral. We do not earn referral fees, commissions, or any form of commercial consideration from technology providers. Our advice is structured around your outcomes, your risk profile, and your regulatory obligations — not what a vendor needs to sell.
We have already started implementing AI tools. Is a Diagnostic still relevant?
Yes — often more so. Organisations that have deployed tools without a governance framework frequently discover gaps in data handling, accountability structures, and regulatory positioning. A Diagnostic provides an independent audit of where you actually are, not where you think you are.
What does the retainer actually look like month to month?
Two structured strategy sessions per month — typically 90 minutes each. We review your current initiatives, challenge assumptions, evaluate vendor proposals, review policy drafts, and provide written summaries of agreed positions. Between sessions, you have async access via email or Slack for time-sensitive questions.
Can we start with a Diagnostic and then move to a retainer?
Yes, and this is the most common path. The Diagnostic gives you the baseline; the retainer gives you the ongoing support to act on it. Diagnostic clients receive a 10% discount on their first three months of retainer.
What size of organisation do you typically work with?
Our Diagnostic and Retainer engagements are accessible to teams of any size — including boutique practices and mid-market in-house teams. Programme Design and Enterprise Partnership are typically suited to firms with 50+ fee-earners or legal departments with multi-jurisdiction operations.
